Kyle Steckly Gets His First ASA STARS National Tour Victory at The Redbud 400

ANDERSON, IN - July 21, 2024 - ASA STARS National Tour rookie Kyle Steckly earned his first signature super late model victory, winning the prestigious 58th Annual Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway.

Steckly was fastest in both practice sessions on Saturday. He would go on to qualify 3rd.

The Milverton, Ontario driver powered past Austin Nason on lap 336, and put on a show for the fans in attendance in leading the final 63 circuits on the tight Anderson quarter-mile oval. Steckly led three times for a total of 145 laps, the most of any driver.

"Just a great team, great car," Steckly said in victory lane. "I've got to thank all these guys. We struggled yesterday and went to work. This thing was a rocketship all day. I'm just so blessed to be here."

"I don't think people realize how big these events are and how special this is," said Steckly. "I've been watching these races since I was a little kid. I just wanted to win something like this, a crown jewel event."

A six-time race winner and the defending champion of Canada's APC United Late Model Series, Steckly had already established himself as one of top drivers north of the border. Now, he's added his name to the list of winners in one of Late Model racing's most historic events.

Steckly becomes the 2nd Canadian driver in a row to win the Redbud 400 (Cole Butcher – 2023).

Up next for the ASA STARS National Tour will be a first time visit to Owasso Speedway in Central Michigan on August 17.
