Kyle Steckly Wins Hard Charger Award And Top Ten Finish In His ASA Stars National Tour Debut

NEW SMYRNA, FL - February 14, 2024 - It was an eventful few days at New Smyrna Speedway with Kyle making his ASA Stars National Tour debut in the No. 30 Ford with Rette Jones Racing.

After a solid shake down day with the APC Auto Parts Centres Rette Jones Racing No. 30 on Sunday, Steckly was ready for opening practice on Monday. The speed was there during practice, with Kyle finishing 6th out of 46 cars.

It was a rough start to race day when Steckly tapped the wall during time trials and was forced to race in the last chance qualifier to earn his spot in the Clyde Hart Memorial Race that evening. The car needed some adjustments after qualifying, making Kyle start at the back for the LCQ. Steckly worked his way up from 13th, finishing 5th, securing his spot in the evenings race.

Autograph session wrapped up and the cars rolled off, marking Steckly's first ASA Stars National Tour start. Starting 27th Steckly battled hard, slowly working his way up throughout the field. After an impressive effort Steckly finished 8th, walking away with a top ten finish and the Clyde Hart Memorial Hard Charger Award.

Kyle is looking forward to continuing to chase a win in the ASA Stars National Tour, heading next to Five Flags Speedway in March.
